My first post:)

Hey everyone!..And welcome to my first post! This is my first attempt at a blog, so please bare with me as I ramp up on how this whole thing works...lol!I actually have no clue how to start..although I've been dreaming up my next post about how much i miss school! But for now , I'm missing tennis more than ever...Its been a rough season for me.Several injuries, blisters. This happened before , and it always took me down.

I am scheduled to play the Junior Bangalore open in a week..so right now I'm really working on my game , just trying to find my rhythm , make sure I'm fit!I played my first singles match in a really long time today, and it went very well - I beat Rohit Sarwate (Karnataka's number three player), 63 62. I didn't really expect it to go so smoothly, but I think Rohit prefers to play on clay. I served really well so I was happy; it's the most important part of my game. How I serve depends on who I'm playing. If I'm playing a taller player, it's better to aim for the body, so I won't hit many aces; against a player like Rohit who isn't so tall but is fast, I'll try to use more of the space in the service box, hitting out wide and mixing it up. I hit seven aces today so I'm happy!
I had a pretty good season on clay coming into the grass court season. Clay is not one of my favorite surfaces, that's for sure, but I found some rhythm this year. It wasn't an incredibly steady clay season but I finished strongly, winning two rounds at Mysore Open. But I'm really happy we're moving to grass and hardcourts, they're my favorite.
Yesterday I had dinner with two of my best friends on the circuit , about whom I must mention in this blog - Dawson and Prerana. We're good friends but unfortunately the last few years we all travel so much. We really need to start hanging out again! . As you can probably see already, this is going to be a busy (but fun) week!
This is the first time I've kept a blog. Last year, I was leaving messages on a website maybe once every few weeks, to let them know how I was doing, but since December I haven't really been keeping up with it. That's about as much contact I've had online with my friends, so I'm really looking forward to this. I have an official website coming soon, so on that I'll definitely keep everyone updated better. It's being made now...
I have my first doubles match tomorrow. I'm playing with Sharan Patil; we've never played together, and we decided to last week because neither of us had a partner. He has a very good first serve and moves to the net quickly and I like to do the same. I'm really looking forward to it. Also, I'm on fourth after 12pm, so I'll be able to relax for quite a bit of the day, which is always good :)
I'll talk to you all tomorrow night!
Jigar.
